Appearance, performance, and innovation of the product ultimately tries to influence shoppers into a purchase. Today, all of these characteristics had become highly controllable especially with the technologically advanced R&D laboratories used by formulators and manufacturers of raw materials. Even packaging has also evolved to address today’s issues such as sustainability.
One major trend in the exhibition is the move of the cosmetic industry towards sustainable and naturally sourced products. Deforestation and food shortage are some criticisms that the industry has known for years.
